Student group starts college planning Web site
CHICAGO - The illinois student assistance Commission is starting a Web site to help high school students statewide better plan for college.
It offers planning for financial aid with a financial aid calculator and a scholarship search
Other features include test preparation, career planning, help with college applications and electronic high school transcript processing.
The Web site is free, but requires registration. It replaces a Web site called IllinoisMentor.org.
The commission's executive director says the site will help students and their families better prepare for the future.
