ASU student receives $100K scholarship from Ronald McDonald House Charities
luis duran of phoenix, a student at arizona state university, was one of four high school seniors nationwide chosen to receive a college scholarship of $100,000 from ronald mcdonald house charities’ Hispanic american commitment to educational resources program.
The students were selected for their academic achievement, financial need and community service.
“Through the rmhc/HACER national scholarship program, we strive to financially support the dreams of outstanding hispanic students,” said Martin coyne, president and ceo of ronald mcdonald house charities Inc.
The national scholarships are funded by a donation from McDonald’s. The program has awarded more than $19.1 million in scholarships since its establishment in 1985.
