Malaysian Student Believed Missing In Australia
kuala lumpur - A Malaysian student in australia, Norzarifah Kamarauzaman, 21, is believed missing after family members failed to contact her for three weeks now.
The final year geology student at the curtin university of technology in perth, who is sponsored by a government-linked company, last contacted her family on Oct 6.
Umno Youth Community Protection secretariat chairman Datuk abdul azeez abdul rahim said the secretariat would try and help track down Norzarifah, who is believed to be living together with an australian man.
"In this case, we will work together with the Higher education ministry, the foreign ministry and Interpol," he told reporters at putera umno's office here Tuesday.
Norzarifah's parents, Kamarauzaman Nasir, 50, a pensioner, and wife, noraini Daud, 48, an assistant librarian at universiti putra malaysia, had sought the help of the secretariat to trace their daughter.
