Authorities seek thief who stole student's wheelchair
salt lake city police are looking for a man who stole a wheelchair from westminster college belonging to an 18-year-old student.
2News reports the motorized chair belongs to Jessica Jackman, who has a genetic disease called stickler syndrome, and a childhood surgery left her partially paralyzed for some time.
She relies on the chair to get from class to class at the college, but late friday night, someone went into a storage area and took off with her wheelchair, valued at $25,000.
The college has released a video clip from its security camera in hopes someone might be able to help them capture the culprit.
Anyone with information is urged to call salt lake city police at (801)799-3000.
