Yerington student honored at Whitworth
charity triplett of Yerington joined the largest graduating class in Whitworth history as the university celebrated its 118th Commencement in mid-May in Spokane, WA., and when she was awarded a bachelor of science in biology.
The commencement speaker was Professor of political science Julia Stronks, J.D., Ph.D., who came to Whitworth in 1994 and was named the 2008 Most Influential female professor by the senior class. Stronks specializes in constitutional law, religion and politics, gender and public policy, poverty, school law, and discrimination law.
Whitworth is a private, liberal arts university affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA), enrolls 2,600 students and offers more than 50 undergraduate and graduate programs.
