Exchange students need homes for a month

An international exchange program is asking for help to house 12 students who will arrive in a week and still have no host families.

jesse cook with world heritage said a program coordinator quit unexpectedly before making sure all the students had places to stay.

The high school students are scheduled to arrive in phoenix on July 24 and will need a host family to provide them with a bed and meals for four weeks.

"They are coming to Arizona to learn about the american culture before starting their classes on the east coast in the fall," Cook said.

The students will attend classes in central Mesa monday through friday.

"Ideally were looking for families from Mesa because of their location, but we will be setting up carpools to help with the commute for families hosting a student outside the area," Cook said.

The students, who all speak English, are from denmark, Italy, France, czech republic, Japan, China and mexico.

If you are interested in hosting one of these students, call Cook at 406-208-2157 or e-mail jesse85234@yahoo.com.
