Teacher Arrested For Threatening Student
(WSB radio) - A 34-year-old clayton county high school teacher charged with disorderly conduct and making a terroristic threat against a student made a fire court appearance thursday afternoon.
According to a clayton county police report, Mt. Zion High school science teacher travis Heckstall allegedly told a student that he would "he would rip his eye balls out and [urinate] on him, and kill [his] family.”
The incident was recorded by students with cell phones and reported to the school's assistant principal.
The teacher claims he was threatened and has not felt safe for much of the school year.
Heckstall, who is the son of state representative Joe Heckstall, was released on $20,000 bond.
